If you've made it through the first four days of 2025, you should be purroud of yourself! It's not easy transitioning from one year to the next, but your floofy feline disagrees. To be honest, they don't even know what day it is, let alone what year it is! Many pawrents are envious of an innocent cat's ignorance. They get to sleep, purr, and sunbathe all day long until dinner time—pawrents have to be a chef for themselves and their catto! Life isn't fair, but that's what we sign up for when we choose to bring a fuzzy kitty into our homes. While we get the money to fund their lavish lifestyle, they get to sploot on the floor and rip up our carpets. Best trade deal in hisstory, if you ask me.

To start 2025 on a happy note, forget about your New Year's purrsolutions and surrender to ultimate cat meme pleasure. There's nothing wrong with taking it slow and pressing paws on your day-to-day tasks. The best thing to do right now—since it IS Caturday—is to cozy up with your comfort kitten and revel in the fact that it's the weekend!

This meme particularly strikes cat pawrents. I recall a time when I so desperately yearned for a cat of my own, but I lived in a doggy household where my idea for a cat-dog bestie friendship was refuted every single time. I know it was probably for the best (because a cat would be no match for my high-energy Maltese poodle,) but a girl can dream.
Instead, I'd walk down the treelined streets of my neighborhood in NYC and hope that the cats (strays and window-cattos alike) were out to play. Even though I now have an unhinged, one-brain-celled tuxedo cat of my own, I still get excited when I see the group of three indoor/outdoor cats on my stroll to work. If you're wondering—which you probably are—the cat street gang consists of two tuxedo cats and one tortie shell. One of these days, I'll pack my bag with some Churus and let the friendship-making magic happen. I suggest you do the same in your neighborhood, too—there's no such thing as too many cats. But, you knew that already!
